Bounce messages appearing in logs

Nick Edwards
Hi,

I currently have Postfix 2.3 setup with amavis-new for dealing with spam
and viruses.

I currently have amavis setup so that it will not send out any dsn
bounce messages. However, every time that I get a spam message, the logs
appear like the following:

Jun  9 12:57:21 mail postfix/smtpd[13781]: connect from
unknown[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Jun  9 12:57:22 mail postfix/smtpd[13781]: 80D7C7D181:
client=unknown[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Jun  9 12:57:23 mail postfix/cleanup[13785]: 80D7C7D181:
message-id=<69d901c8ca27$e8147810$c0a800d2@Valerie>
Jun  9 12:57:23 mail postfix/qmgr[4886]: 80D7C7D181:
from=<[hidden email]>, size=2243, nrcpt=1 (queue active)
Jun  9 12:57:23 mail postfix/smtpd[13781]: disconnect from
unknown[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Jun  9 12:57:30 mail amavis[12391]: (12391-07) Blocked SPAM,
[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] <[hidden email]> ->
<[hidden email]>, quarantine: spam-2+vIPlZI1Pjm.gz, Message-ID:
<69d901c8ca27$e8147810$c0a800d2@Valerie>, mail_id: 2+vIPlZI1Pjm, Hits:
18.466, 6845 ms
Jun  9 12:57:30 mail postfix/smtp[13786]: 80D7C7D181:
to=<[hidden email]>, relay=127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]:10024, delay=8.3,
delays=1.5/0.02/0/6.8, dsn=2.5.0, status=sent (250 2.5.0 Ok,
id=12391-07, BOUNCE)
Jun  9 12:57:30 mail postfix/qmgr[4886]: 80D7C7D181: removed

Now the issue here is that I get the BOUNCE message appearing near the
end, however no bounce message is sent out to the sender. Can someone
please explain why this is happening here as it has caused much
confusion!

Thanks very much!

Nick
