TLS issue

Security Admin (NetSec)
Was doing some maintenance on my postfix configuration in main.cf and accidently uncommented the following line in my TLS configuration:

smtpd_tls_session_cache_database = sdbm:/etc/postfix/smtpd_scache

Which resulted in the following error in my /var/log/mail:

postfix/tlsmgr: fatal: unsupported dictionary type: sdbm

After re-uncommenting everything was fine.  My questions are what is the cache database, is it important for TLS to function properly and how would I make it work?

Thanks in advance

Edward W. Ray

    http://www.postfix.org/TLS_README.html#server_tls_cache

In modern (2.3+) version of Postfix, "btree" is recommended instead.
