Transport_map as second MX server

Paul Cocker
I'm running through the e-mail gateway example at as this
appears to be what I'm looking for, a setup which passes e-mail on for
valid domains.

It talks about using transport_map and defining the inside smtp
gateway... My knowledge on proper handling of this is pretty dicey but
as I understand it the second, third, fourth MX servers etc. should pass
e-mail to the first MX server which then relays it to the internal mail

Assuming this is correct, should I be defining this setting at all?
