function difference between and access_recipient

Hello,
I habe a problem to understand function of

# /etc/aliases

# /etc/postfix/access_recipient

It seemed to be that aliases is OK for receive emails for recipients.

But what it make sence to use additional access_recipient or whats
function of access_recipient.

This, and /etc/passwd, is used for address validation: is
this a valid email address for users or aliases that exist
on this machine.

> # /etc/postfix/access_recipient

Assuming that this is used in a check_recipient_access rule,
this is used primarily to reject mail.

The two are used together like this: the recipient must not be
rejected by check_recipient_access, and the recipient must be valid.
