the lingering ghost of amavis

Colin Brace

Hi all,

I am in the process of migrating from spamassassin to dspam on my FreeBSD
server. I deinstalled amavisd-new last week and thought I removed all
references to it in main.cf and master.cf, but I still see postfix triying
to connect to it:

$ cat /var/log/maillog | grep amavis
[...]
May  4 07:52:45 venus postfix/qmgr[1290]: warning: connect to transport
smtp-amavis: Connection refused
May  4 09:02:45 venus postfix/qmgr[1290]: warning: connect to transport
smtp-amavis: Connection refused
May  4 09:48:17 venus postfix/qmgr[1290]: warning: connect to transport
smtp-amavis: Connection refused
May  4 10:57:46 venus postfix/qmgr[1290]: warning: connect to transport
smtp-amavis: Connection refused
May  4 12:07:46 venus postfix/qmgr[1290]: warning: connect to transport
smtp-amavis: Connection refused
[...]

There is no reference to amavis in any of the other config files in
../postfix/. Why is postfix still trying to find it?

Thanks.

Show us your master.cf, main.cf, did you restart postfix after the
de-installation?

Justin.
